Don Corace, real
estate developer, property rights expert and authority on the Energy Crisis.
His latest book, Government
Pirates: The Assault on Private Property Rights - and how we can fight it is a shocking expose into how government officials can take
your property if they so choose - for a wide variety of shady reasons. Corace
offers a groundbreaking in-depth look at eminent domain abuse and other
government regulations that are strangling the rights of property owners
across America. Call now to interview Don - your audience will thank you! See Don at a
book signing with Sean Hannity. In 1980, Don worked as a drilling rig
roughneck and eventually began buying and selling oil and gas leases
throughout Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma. When the oil industry went into a
severe slump in 1983, he moved to Houston where he met his wife Ammi, a
native of Sweden, and started a family. After briefly working with a real
estate developer, Don struck out on his own and formed investment
partnerships to buy and sell land. When the Houston real estate market
softened in 1986, he headed west. Don became a successful real estate investor
and developer. He also served as a bank director, owned an environmental
contracting company, and served as the President of an influential lobbying
organization that was actively involved in local and state politics. Don became a partner with Signature
Communities, a major real estate development company specializing in
condominium projects with projects valued at over $2 billion. His first
novel, Offshore, was published by a small Texas-based publisher in
April 2005. The corporate thriller revolves around the offshore drilling and
exploration business and set in Houston. The book debuted at the annual
Offshore Technology Conference held in Houston, the largest energy conference
in the world. Offshore received excellent reviews and garnered
national media coverage, especially due to the impending energy crisis and
the controversy over offshore drilling. Don accurately predicted that gasoline
prices would reach $3.00 that summer and would escalate further if no comprehensive
energy program were implemented to reduce the county's dependence on foreign
oil. The program should include drilling in a small portion of the Artic
National Wildlife Reserve (ANWR), rescinding the moratorium on offshore
drilling on more than 80% of the country's Outer Continental Shelf, building
more nuclear plants and oil refineries, increasing domestic oil and natural
gas production, developing clean coal technology, investing in other
alternative energy sources such as wind and solar power, and hybrid and
hydrogen fuel cell technologies. A successful real estate developer and
businessman for more than twenty-five years, Don Corace has appeared on Hannity
& Colmes, The Neal Boortz Show, and many other media venues and has
testified before Congress on property rights issues. |
